Students will meet urban muralists whose work has impacted the community by influencing social change, community empowerment, and creating awareness for history and culture. Over Ten artists, Six neighborhoods, Ten community-based organizations, Ten galleries, thirty five murals are involved in the project.
The project will increase pride for ones’ neighborhood, enhance awareness about art, explain how art can empower the artist, the community and influence positive change. The project will also increase knowledge about the history and culture of Miami’s diverse neighborhoods.
