Misery Loves Co.

Does one bad apple really ruin the bunch? Do bad seeds corrupt the garden? Can something be truly inherently bad? If so, could someone really bad attract others into their fold? Why do so many hardened criminals in prison receive countless offers of proposals from complete strangers? Our attractions to the bad boy/girl image are so nihilistic it’s scary. Even when we are sure an outcome is ominous we still will follow into it. Maybe that’s it, maybe as individuals we have such a profound fear of the unknown that we refuse to abandon misery! Do we find security in knowing that we’ll undoubtedly end up with miserable company rather than attempting the challenges in life that may better ourselves? Which is worse, misery, or failure?
