Men of Mettle

Mettle is a word we hardly hear in every day life. Dictionaries define mettle simply as “courage and fortitude; an inherent quality of character and temperament.” It seems there is a basic lack of mettle these days, where people took struggle, discomfort and pain and turned it into something positive; Song, food, dance, art all took some kind of mettle. Today is all about internetting, digitizing and socializing completely in solitude. I hope the children of tomorrow will change that. Maybe today’s youth will find new forms interaction. Maybe the children of tomorrow will forge their own kind of mettle!
