Engine No.9

“On the NY transit line…” time for some fun. The drawing for this piece, like most from this show, is over 15 years older than the painting! The Engine No. 9 title comes from the Black Sheep song, which was never the inspiration for the art; it just popped up as I neared its completion. I love when random things in life work themselves out. Someone told me (I cant remember who, Nerelys or Gabriela) that I was manifesting. That’s a powerful thing to hear, ponder and then believe. Because of the spiritual and creative seeds I have planted in the universe, the universe was now giving back, and that feels like a wondrous train of prosperity bearing down on me! I wish I could write like I paint to really describe how it all feels!
